The Basic Idea

yep! offers young people from all over the world – between the ages of 18 and 25 – the opportunity to take part in a professional eurythmy stage production. A four-month rehearsal and training phase culminates in a major tour through the German-speaking region, across Europe, and possibly even another continent (the last yep project went to Brazil).

You have questions about life, are open-minded, interested in art, love eurythmy, and enjoy moving! All your commitment, creativity, and joy of creation are dedicated to the common goal: to develop a young, existential eurythmy performance that we will bring to many venues.

Experienced artists accompany the process. From the very beginning, you will be actively involved in the planning, conception, and implementation of costume design, masks, lighting design, and details of tour organization (such as press work, logistics, etc.) – in short, in the many different areas of such a project.

Participation in yep! is free of charge. You only need to cover affordable housing and meals in Kassel for three months.

Creating Together

Engaging with youth anthroposophy, choreography, music, painting, and workshops on various topics, as well as conversations about art and life – all of this will unite us in an exciting creative process. Renowned guest lecturers will lead so-called “theme weeks” on demanding subjects.

Working with yep! can also serve as a period of orientation and a personal challenge, giving you the chance to “test yourself” together with peers over an extended time to discover what you want to achieve in life. Movement in thinking and action – this is the space we want to create.
The artistic processes in which the participants, together with the accompanying artists, are engaged, make it possible to develop key skills such as creativity, presence of mind, stage presence, teamwork, perseverance, and much more – all of which are essential in any professional context.

Those aiming to pursue a degree in eurythmy can count their work with yep! as a stage internship in individual agreement with the training institutions, or – with our recommendation – enter directly into the first year of study after the Easter holidays. Conversely, it can also be very rewarding for newly trained eurythmists to gain experience in our stage project by joining as interns.

An internship in the form of active participation in an artistic project such as yep! is highly recommended and strongly supported as preparation for later eurythmy studies. The artistic and skill-building experiences gained in such a project provide meaningful and valuable preparation for a course of study in eurythmy.

And Beyond?

Despite the seriousness of rehearsals, the joy of other activities should not be neglected. Kassel has beautiful surroundings with lakes and forests. It is exciting to explore them while following in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm. The Documenta city offers a diverse museum landscape, and its theater, concert life, and opera are outstanding.
We rehearse both on the stage of the beautiful, spacious hall of the Anthroposophical Center in Kassel – where the premiere will also take place – as well as in the rooms of the Kassel Waldorf School.

Regarding accommodation for the participants during the rehearsal period, the project office has established contacts with host families to provide affordable housing.
While on tour, we will also be hosted by families in the respective locations.
